About Door to Self-Growth

Hi, I’m the person behind this blog.

I started this blog because I kept noticing the same thing, in my own life and in the students I tutor: real change rarely comes from one big breakthrough. It comes from small, repeated shifts in how we think and those shifts are learnable, the same way any other skill is.

My Background

My background is in economics (MPhil) and education, I trained as a teacher (B.Ed) and spend my days tutoring young students, which has taught me a lot about how people actually learn and grow, not just in theory.

I’m not a licensed therapist or psychologist, and nothing here replaces professional mental health care. What I bring instead is what teaching trained into me: I research carefully before I write, and I check what I share against real sources like books, established organizations like the APA or NIMH, not just internet wisdom.

What This Blog Covers

This blog covers personal development (habits, mindset, productivity) and emotional well-being (healing, self-love, resilience) the two are hard to separate in real life, so I don’t try to here.

A Note on Professional Support

If you’re struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a licensed therapist or a crisis line in your area first that matters more than any blog post.

Thank You for Being Here

If something here helps you take one small step forward, that’s the whole point.
